  • Animal Welfare Network of Lane County  http://www.awnlc.net/  AWNLC is an umbrella organization for the various animal welfare organizations in Lane County. Many organizations and web addresses are listed on this site..

  • The Bearen Foundation  www.bearenfoundation.org  offers financial assistance to qualified applicants who face veterinary expenses beyond their means.

  • Cascades Raptor Center http://www.eraptors.org/  is a nature center and wildlife hospital that rehabilitates sick, injured or orphaned birds of prey.

  • Humane Society of Cottage Grove  HSCG provides educational information/materials and focuses on low cost spay/neuter programs in the Cottage Grove/Creswell area. 2555 Mosby Creek Rd, Cottage Grove, OR (541) 942-3130    

  • Lane County Animal Services (LCAS)  www.lanecounty.org/animals  is the government agency which provides animal control and abuse/neglect investigation within Lane County.  

  • Luv-A-Bull Pit Bull Rescue  www.luv-a-bull.org  Luv-a-Bull Pit Bull Rescue is a non-profit rescue organization located in the Eugene area dedicated to re-homing unwanted Pit Bulls.

  • Neuter Scooter www.neuterscooter.org is a mobile low cost spay/neuter resource for cats only. They come to Lane County every few months. Check their website for schedule.

  • No Kill Advocacy Center www.nokillsolutions.org  is the nation’s first organization dedicated solely to the promotion of a No Kill nation.  It is the only national animal welfare agency that is staffed by people who have actually worked in and created a No Kill community.  

  • No Kill Community Coalition http://www.nokillcoalition.org/has the mission of ending the killing of adoptable or medically/behaviorally treatable companion animals, and feral cats, in Lane County animal shelters.

  • Oregon Humane Society  www.oregonhumane.org  Oregon's largest humane society, located in Portland, which frequently accepts dogs, and occasionally cats, transferred from shelters and rescue groups throughout the North West who need help placing them in new homes.  

  • Pro-Bone-O  http:// www.proboneo.org  works to improve the health and well-being of pets of the homeless, to stop the spread of infectious diseases and parasites in the community and to prevent unwanted litters by educating owners and offering either financial assistance or services for spay/neuter. 

  • Stop Pet Overpopulation Today (SPOT) provides financial assistance to people who can’t afford the total cost to spay/neuter their pets.   phone:  (541) 485-7768
  • Stray Cat Alliance  www.straycatalliance.com  provides low-cost spay/neuter, cat food, and medical care for low-income cat care-givers.
  • Willamette Animal Guild http://www.wagwag.org/ operates a low-cost spay/neuter clinic for lane County dogs and cats. (541) 345-3566
