Founded in January 2001, the Shelter Animal Resource
Alliance (S.A.R.A.) is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization based in the
Eugene/Springfield area of western Oregon. Our mission is to rescue,
assist and advocate for dogs and cats at local and regional animal
control shelters, we also assist other rescue groups when funds
permit. S.A.R.A. cannot accept stray or owner released animals from

Adopting a friend from SARA:
If you’ve been thinking about adopting a cat or kitten, please
stop by S.A.R.A.'s Treasures to meet our wonderful rescued kitties. Our adoption fee includes
spay/neuter with general health check, FIV/FeLV testing (feline AIDS
& Leukemia), vaccinations (including leukemia), microchip w/paid
registration, treatment for parasites (fleas and worms), collar, name
tag, new cat pack of goodies and lots of socialization and love!. And if some unforeseeable
event occurs and you can no longer care for an animal you have
adopted from S.A.R.A., we have a lifetime return policy, as we never
want our dear animal friends to be hungry, scared or homeless again!

From the South : From Northbound I-5 Take the
I-105/OR-126 (exit 194B) toward Eugene. After 3.7 miles exit
right onto W. 6th Ave (Still OR-126) Proceed .7 miles to
Chambers Street. Turn North (Right) on Chambers Street, which
becomes River Road. Continue 1.5 miles, we are on the right hand
side one block past the traffic signal at Park Avenue right next
to the 7-Eleven convenience store and River Road Sew and Vac.
